Selling A Property

CONVEYANCING

Selling Property in Western Australia.

Selling a property can be a daunting process and we recommend nominating a conveyancer as early as possible in the sale process. This can be particularly important where you have special circumstances surrounding the sale, such as a shortfall on your mortgage, where you are separated from your co-owner or you will be away for work or vacation over the course of the settlement.

Nominating a conveyancer early in the process and discussing these issues with them upfront can help to avoid delays and ensure that you are ready to settle by the contracted settlement date. Failure to settle by the contracted settlement date may see you incur penalty interest for the delay.

A settlement agent can provide information about a number of topics, including:

  • Deceased estates
  • Lost Certificate of Title deeds
  • Seller’s obligations in relation to unapproved or non-compliant structures
  • Special conditions on the contract; and
  • many other important topics.
